ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen: Review and Swatch!

Hello guys! Long time no blog post. I really thank you very much if you are still reading my blog after me being MIA for so long! I appreciate you all! I just haven't bought a ton of new makeup to review lately, but now I am back in buying mode so look forward to more reviews soon!

I love ELF products in general, but it is definitely a hit or miss brand for me. I always pick up their things to try out since they are so cheap, and luckily have been pretty surprised in the past!

I am always on the hunt for amazing eyeliner pens just because they are SO easy to use! I am good at using liquid liner (especially when using wet n wild mega liner) but it can't hurt to have many forms of eyeliner that you are comfortable with using!

Meet the ELF eyeliner pen. Him and I are not friends. Let's start off with his design.

I'm not really sure what the point of the design is. The brush tip is very stiff, VERY. So it hurts very much to apply it to my eyes. That alone makes me not recommend this to anyone. Our eyes are very delicate, they don't need a stiff eyeliner tip irritating them! I don't know what elf was thinking.

Pigmentation? It is good!

Waterproof claim? Omg. No ma'am. NO MA'AM.

I let this sit on my hand for over 15 minutes and then put water to it, and it washed away immediately.

I know this wasn't much of a review, but I have nothing positive to say about the product so it would just turn into a huge rant. Please don't purchase this. Nothing good about it. Sorry ELF, you failed me this time.

ELF is very hit or miss for me, but I do have products that I happen to love very much from them! What are your favorites?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer: Review!

Back with a review for you ladies today :) I wish I had more of these to do for you guys, but honestly, the things I have been buying lately haven't really been review(able) (unless you want me to talk about a new MAC shadow or a drugstore lipstick in every post. Yeah, no) So hopefully I will pick up a ton of new things in the weeks to come because I get really excited when I can do a review for you all, so let's get started.

Okay, I don't know about you girls who live in the US, but I've been dying to try the Rimmel wake me up foundation! In fact, I actually emailed Rimmel asking if it was ever going to come to the states and they told me sadly no. I was devastated! Welllll, I was at Kmart one day and I quick passed by the makeup section because I knew there was nothing I "needed". I was trying to have strong willpower. Then, when walking past an aisle I spotted this...

And I started jumping up and down! Could it be? Could it beee?

It was a Rimmel Wake Me Up product! I was so happy! I instantly grabbed this. I was searching for the foundation, hoping they had it, but sadly they didn't. If you have spotted it anywhere in the US, let me know because I wanna get my hands on it! No, I will not order of ASOS because my card blocks it because it is out of the country, boo :( So just let me know at any point when you read this if you know where I can get it personally in the US!

Okay enough rambling, on to the review...

Claims
Rimmel's first full coverage concealer
Instant anti-fatigue effect with peptides and vitamin moisturising complex
Visibly reawakens and illuminates under the eyes
Completely conceals spots and other blemishes

Do I agree?
Coverage: This claims to be full coverage, absolutely not. I would say it is honestly light coverage. The formulation is really thin as well so that is a hint that the coverage isn't great.
Illumination: I do agree this does a great job of illuminating under my eyes. However, it provides no coverage in the process so this is just something I can use for highlighting. This actually draws attention to my under eye circles and veins because it has noticeable shimmer in it, which draws attention to that area.
With that being said, I would never put this on a blemish because I know it would just make it look more visible, not conceal it. So keep that in mind. If you are buying this strictly because it says it is a full coverage concealer, don't even bother. It will not cover, but rather, highlight for you.

So there you go. Those are just my thoughts on this concealer. I can't say I am impressed by it's mega claims because honestly I do not really agree with any of them! Other then it is illuminating, indeed. I knew going into this these products would be better at illuminating rather then coverage though so I honestly wasn't disappointed. Just disappointed to hear Rimmel's claims.

So I will let you decide for yourself if you would like to try out this concealer. As a huge fan of Rimmel, I just think they need to get better at identifying their products, so they don't fool anyone! It is hard to gain respect from buyers that way. But I do like this! And would like to try the foundation still so let me know if you have tried it and if you know where I can get it!

NOTD: Orly Snowcone!

Let me just say, this may be my new favorite nail polish! I love everything about it!

I will start by saying, I don't have much to really say about this, other then it is amazing. I did a NOTD featuring another Orly nail polish lately, and I mentioned I believe how I wasn't really a fan of the formulation. The two other orly polishes I have are really thin in consistency and they begin to creep outside of nails and end up all over my skin and I find it totally annoying. This one doesn't do that at all! It does dry a bit darker then it appears in the bottle, just throwing that out there. And it is one of my favorite colors of all time! Seriously so pretty :) I recommend you check this one out!

What shades are your all time favorites? Always on the hunt for new nail polish!

ELF Lip Stain Pink Petal: Review + Lip Swatches!

I have never quite been brave enough to try a staining product of any sorts. I tried the Covergirl lipstick in Hot and that stained my lips like no other, I'm not kidding, I couldn't get the red off even after exfoliating! It was bad. That made me not want to try staining products, and also, I don't like dry products so I just knew to stay away from stains. Well, I couldn't resist the urge to try the ELF ones because they were only $2. I thought this would be a great chance to experiment.

For reference this is part of the essentials line and comes in four shades. Pink petal was the brightest shade they offered so I picked it up since it is spring and that makes me think of bright colors.

Pigmentation: Honestly, I feel the color payoff for this was really wimpy. It barely transfers to my lips unless I layer it up a bunch. I would hope the deeper colors would be more pigmented but I haven't tried them yet. Will keep you updated when I do.
Longevity: I must say, this isn't a super long wearing stain. Color starts to fade after 2 hours, and after 4 it is basically all worn off.
Application: This has the typical marker style tip that really feels dry until you really rub it onto your lips.
Formulation: Typical stain. Very dry but doesn't make the lips look overly flaky. Other Cons: I feel like these dry out SUPER quickly. Even at $2, these could get pretty spendy if you need to keep repurchasing them all the time. I think I have had better luck storing them sideways instead of upside though, so if you know which works better for this product, let me know!

I have found the most effective way for me to wear these is with a lip balm on top. When I put my EOS lip balm over top, I think it does look great. I like that this is a completely hassle free lip product because I can't feel the product on my lips, which means it looks like I'm not wearing a thing which I love. Adding the lip balm on top just makes it not become too drying. I'm in love with wearing a product that does not wear off because it makes it very work appropriate.

I have very poorly pigmented lips, so this gives me color which I really appreciate :) While the overall quality I think is very poor, I do like this product just because it works well enough for me and it is hassle free! If you are use to other stains that perform well, I recommend staying away from this one. Otherwise if you just want a little bit of color like I do, I think they are worth a shot for $2!

I'd love for you to share your thoughts with me on this product :) Also, I want to try more lip stains now! Suggestions would be HIGHLY appreciated!
