So this is my $108, or $74 :P face! (Minus the lip product) What do you guys think? This is my every day look! Hope you guys enjoyed this post. I think I may do more posts like this if you wouldn't mind seeing them, maybe on days where I do more dramatic looks and such. This was really fun to do and find out the total cost. Makeup can get spendy! And to think I didn't even use many high end makeup items, dang. It is crazy how much money girls invest in makeup :)

Have you done a post or youtube video like this? You should link it below so I can read it! Otherwise please do your best to add up the prices of the makeup you used today! xo!

Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razors: Review!

Sooo today's post is a little different. I am reviewing a razor for you guys. What? Is that weird for you girls? I hope not! I just needed to share this with you! I wanted to warn you all so you could save your legs.

Not sure if you girls had seen my last haul video on my youtube channel, but I showed you I got a super good deal on these Schick Hyrdo Silk razors. They retail for $9 and some change and I had a $3 off target coupon and $4 manufacturer coupon so I got it for $2 and some change. I was really pumped because this looked like a very promising razor.

I am kinda fussy when it comes to razor in the sense that I don't like razors anymore that do not have the built in shave bar. I hate having to use shave gel unless I absolutely need to. I figured for such an amazing price on these, I could handle using them for a while.

I must say, this has got to be one of the worst razors I have ever used.

Why, you may ask? Let me tell ya.

I am a pretty careful shaver. I like to take my time and make sure I do not hurt myself. So I would put on shave gel and start shaving. Without fail, I would cut myself at least three or four times when I used these. Not even little knicks! I ended up with a pretty nasty cut yesterday and I was shaving the same way I do with all other razors. I was using my trusty shave gel, so I can't even blame it on that. I knew it wasn't the most comfortable shaving with this, but ending up cutting myself multiple times with a razor never happens to me, and it would never stop with this one! I just can't get over how much I dislike this razor.

So downfalls:
- Cuts my skin way too often :(
- Feels uncomfortable
- I have to go over places multiple times because it misses spots
- Pricey

I do not think I can think of a positive thing to say about these other then when I purchased them I got a dang good deal and I am glad. It does say our best disposable shave for your skin or your money back so maybe I will have to look into that. I had tried a really great lotion bar shaver by them a while ago so I definitely thought these were worth a try. I, however, am super disappointed.

I say when you see these in your stores, skip past them. They did some serious damage to my legs. I have never disliked a razor so much, and trust me I am not too picky when it comes to traditional razors, I just want something that will work. This does, but it comes with too much baggage for me.

Have you tried these? What did you think? Let me know!

NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses: Review & Lip Swatches!

So left me start of by saying I am not a lip gloss girl. I am sure I have mentioned that on my blog before, but just so everyone knows, I am not a fan of lip gloss. NYX, however, is a brand that I have a few holy grail products from, so I thought I would try out their mega shine lip glosses since everyone raves about them. Trust me, there are reasons for this!

I know I am totally late on the bandwagon with this product, but it is never to late to review an amazing product. This is a product I think every girl out there should try!

Packaging: They come in a nice, sturdy tube that has a doe foot applicator and a bow on top! So adorable!

Application: Because of the bent doe foot applicator, application is a breeze! I like to just put a little on my bottom lip and rub my lips together. I found that is the best method with this lip gloss. Rub your lips together to get every inch of your lip so you do not apply too much product. If you slather it all over your lips you could run into a problem!

Formulation: This is the best lip gloss formulation I have ever used! It feels buttery soft when I apply it to my lips. There isn't any tack to it, just applies smoothly.

Staying Power: Considering this isn't tacky, the staying power is exceptionally good! Usually non sticky lip glosses slide right off my lips. This stays in place for quite a while. It isn't going to stay on all day by any means but I do not mind reapplying something that isn't sticky.

Smell: I am obsessed with the smell of these. Whenever I apply these, I keep the tube by me afterwards so I can randomly smell it. It is so fruity and delicious. Does anybody know what the exact smell is? I'm not really sure, but it is fantastic. I would buy this stuff for the smell alone :P That weird? Probably. I know some people do not enjoy the smell, but I sure do. I don't care how fake it smells, yum.

Pros for me: One of my favorite things about this is it doesn't dry out my lips! Any other lip gloss I use on it's own dries my lips out like crazy. This keeps my lips moisturized, it is just crazy. I like that they aren't tacky but still stay in place for quite a while! They are easy to apply, everything. I love everything about them!

Cons: Well... My only con. I WANT TO BUY THEM ALL! but obviously can't afford them while being a college student. *sigh* :) haha.

Now let's talk about the certain shades I purchased!

SUGAR PIE: A nice light peachy nude shade with shimmer.

This is a nice nude gloss, but I am not a huge fan of the shimmer in it. Don't get me wrong, I still love this but I could do without the shimmer.

BEIGE: My obsession. Obviously this isn't beige it is definitely pink but it is beautiful.

Is that color not gorgeous? I adore it. I would wear this 24/7 if I could.

So that is my review for these girls! I hope you enjoyed this post. Please let me know which shades of this lip gloss are your favorites so I know which shades to try out. Or if you want to just request shades you would like me to swatch for you guys, I would be happy to do that as well! I hope you are all having a fantastic Monday, and I will talk to you all soon. xoxo

Beauty Blogger Tag! {Get to Know Me!}

I was on beautybroadcast earlier and noticed Emily did the beauty blogger tag. I had so much fun reading hers I was like so what if I'm not tagged, I'm doing it anyways so my readers can get to know me better! Although she did say she tagged everyone to do this ;) I hope you guys enjoy reading this, and I want you all to do it as well so I can get to know you better! If you do this, please link to your blog post in my comments below! Let's just get started, because it's a long one!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
It honestly is kind of a wavy mess! Some days there is more wave then others, but I definitely do not have curly hair!

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
When I use to dye it, I usually did it myself. More like my mom did it for me because I was still young but still. I've only gotten my hair dyed once in a salon and I probably could've done it that exact same way at home so now I'd rather save my money. But I no longer dye my hair either because I am growing it out to donate so neither!

3. Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it?
I don't always wear my hair natural, although that is the way it is most days because I don't always have time to mess around with it. I like taking the time to add in more curls or waves, wear it up, in a braid, lots of things!

4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
My philosophy: Why pay someone else to do it if I can do it myself? I probably will never get it done in a salon, unless it is on my wedding day or something.

5. How often do you change your nail polish?
I use to wait to do it weekly, but lately I've been trying to change it up after 3-4 days. I just want to get use out of my million nail polishes! If I really like a color though, it does stick around for a week!

6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?
I try to keep my nails painted in the winter, but I do not change the color as often.

7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
Typically about 15 minutes. I like to take my time so sometimes it's more, sometimes it is much faster if I am in a rush. I like to take my time though because putting on makeup is my favorite part of the morning.

8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
Eyes! I've just done it that way for years so I almost always do my eyes first. I do not like the feeling of touching my face when I have foundation on it, so when my hand bumps against it when I am doing my eyes, I freak out. That's basically the main reason I do my eyes first. Occasionally I do face first, but that's only if I'm having an off day :P

9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
Since starting my blog, I am definitely turning into more of a collector! However, I have gotten better about getting rid of what I don't use/need.

10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Not very often. I usually save them for special occasions! I am not bad at applying them, I just would rather throw on a ton of coats of mascara and not worry about glue drying and such. I am trying to get myself to wear them more often though so maybe you will hear me talking about them soon :)

11. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
Usually. Doing my makeup makes me happy so I usually like to sit down and take time for that in the mornings. It's not a self conscious issue, just me enjoying putting it on!

12. Do you wear makeup when you're home alone or with family?
When home alone, I like to! It gives me free time to play around with makeup haha. I don't specially put it on just to be with family but considering I am usually wearing makeup, I guess I have to answer yes to this!

13. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yes! I don't mind to do it. Usually I try to have the bare minimum on though.

14. How many high-end products do you have?
Not many! I'm in college so I can't afford to whip out money on expensive things all the time. I do splurge on things I am lusting after, though! I'd rather spend money on many drugstore items so I have a lot to review for you guys instead of buying one high end thing and have one review to do. Make sense? Want me to review a certain high end product though? I will do it! Leave recommendations below!

15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting dressed?
Usually I just pick it out when I'm about to get ready for the day. I only plan ahead if I know I won't get much sleep, or have to dress nicely for a certain event!

16. How often do you change your handbag?
Not too often! I like to keep everything in my trusty cross body bag and just switch out products I will need into other purses instead of transferring everything! I do have other bags I like to use, but I like having one that matches any outfit!
I am actually on the hunt for a really nice cross body bag! If you girls have any suggestions, PLEASE let me know!

17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
With my college schedule, I usually go to bed around 11:30/12 and wake up at 8. If I am working the next morning though, I am up at 6/6:30.

18. How often or when do you workout?
I just cancelled my gym membership because it was just getting too expensive and with summer rolling around, I like being outside when I'm active. Because it's still winter in Minnesota (we still have snow!) I haven't gotten the chance to be outside running as much as I want to be, but I still try to sneak in little exercises so I don't feel lazy! My blog name is thatfitbeauty for a reason! I wanted to include more fitness related things on my blog but people didn't seem to be too interested! If you want to see more content about that, please let me know!

19. Left handed or right handed?
Right.

20. How tall are you?
5'2"

21. Do you speak any foreign languages?
Not fluently! I know some Spanish from taking classes in high school, but not a lot!

22. How many pets do you have?
Zero :( My boyfriend and I have dogs in mind for when we move into our apartment together (thinking Siberian husky and yorkie) we just don't know which to get first! Suggestions?

23. How often are you on Blogger?
I pretty much read posts on here daily. Writing up content is about 3 times a week, I like to write multiple at once and then post them periodically. Wish I had more time to blog!

24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
Just on my own! Unless it something interesting elsewhere, then I sometimes will.

25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
Most definitely! It is the only list I keep in my phone. That way I always have the list with me!

26. How did you come up with your blog name?
I love working out and beauty products! So That Fit Beauty just kind of fell in place.

27. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
I have a Nikon Coolpix S6100! I love it :) But I dropped it twice today :( I think I will need to look into getting a new camera soon, preferably something that is good for filming. Let me know if you have an suggestions!

28. How often do you clean your house?
Whenever it is needed! i like doing small amounts daily if I'm able to, otherwise I tend to go in hardcore cleaning mode about once a week! Wish I had that motivation more often!

29. What's your favorite color?
Any shade of blue!

30. Do you swear?
Meh, I do sometimes.

31. What are you doing with the rest of your day? Going to keep blogging, edit videos, add new things to my poshmark closet, looking up a craft project for work, cleaning at my grandpas house (he passed away last week :'( so we have lots to do) Hope I will find time to clean my room as well!

Well girls, that was a long one! Leave a comment below and let me know if you read the whole thing! Hugs to you if you did! Please do this tag as well so I can read it!

What's in my Makeup Cup: April 19th!

Time to share with you products I am forcing myself to use for a week or so :P When I say forcing myself, it's NOT because I hate these products. It is mainly to use them up, or to give some old products some love. I have soo much makeup, that I need to fluctuate through products so they actually get used. Let's see what I picked this time!

Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette & Neutrogena Concealer - Featured these last week. Again, just trying to use em up!
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation - I adore this foundation, so I am almost out of it. I am currently trying out more foundations to review for you guys (look forward to that!) so I just want to use this up. Love it, just is taking up space!
ELF High Definition Powder - This has been sitting in my drawer taking up too much room for a while lately. I am going to try to use this to set my makeup and see if I like it or not.
ELF Blush and Bronzer Palette - I really enjoy this bronzer and highlighter so I am going to try to scoot my other ones aside and focus on this for a while. I will be sad when this is gone though because it is no longer available so I am afraid to use it up!
Revlon Smoky Shadow Stick in Torch - I seriously don't have much of this left, I just want to be done with it! I have sooo many bases to use that I like a ton more so just want this gone.
Physicians Formula Gel Liner in Brown - I do not prefer gel liner, just because it takes too much more time, but I need to start using these again! I picked the brown one because it is a great base for eye looks, or I can use it for liner which is what I am going to try to do.
NYX Candy Glitter Liner in Disco Queen - This. Is. Gorgeous! I use to use this quite often but lately it just hasn't been loved by me. I'm hoping I will be in a glitter mood soon so I can use it!
Wet n Wild Don't Steal My Thunder Trio - I am currently "testing" this out, and it is amazing. I just got this particular trio lately and I'm in love so I wanted to keep this in my nearby stash for when I want a gray eye look. Definitely loving this more then my ELF Drama quad that I talked about last time.
Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake - I went to use this last night and I thought "wow, I can't believe how little of this I have left". I rotate lip products like crazy so when they are running low I am shocked. Just want to continue making progress in this. It is really pretty but I don't particularly like this pink color on me the best.
ELF Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Rose - This use to be my obsession and then I lost it ha. Then I bought the color natural and used it all the freaking time but then lost that :( So I am going to go back to using this color a ton. These are so amazing. Very moisturizing, great color pay off, wouldn't change a thing about them.

So those are the products I picked this time girls! I'm hoping this method continues to work for me because I want all of my makeup to feel loved. If I don't use things, they end up in a blog sale or elsewhere so other people can enjoy them!

Question of the day: What is a product that came out recently that you tried and loved? Let me know please!

L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara: Review and Pictures!

I'm a mascara trying addict girls! It's really bad. I buy one and then open it usually right away even if I have mascaras open and that just isn't a good thing. Shouldn't have too many open at once or they will go "bad" before you can use them up! I'm almost out of some of mine now though so you will be seeing another mascara very very soon, dying to open up another drugstore mascara! Any guesses? :) Anyways, let's just talk about this L'Oreal mascara.

I purchased the shocking extensions mascara for many reason. One, it obviously has gotten a lot of hype. Two, I've had good luck with L'Oreal mascaras. I liked the voluminous carbon black, and the bare naturale a lot. My lashes just tend to really like L'Oreal mascaras. With that being said, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try out this little guy.

This has a very skinny narrow brush which is a nice change since previously using the Maybelline the rocket. The bristles are very short which at first kind of scared me a little

This product is a very lengthening mascara. I do get some volume, and it holds a curl nicely, and I am not using a waterproof formula. My lashes seriously stay in place all day, they do not droop down like they can tend to do with some other mascaras. You can also layer this mascara as well! You can just keep going in for more and more, without it getting clumpy. Even if it did make my lashes super thick and clumpy looking, I wouldn't mind because I honestly personally like the look off that on my lashes. This isn't like that at all! Just makes you lashes look really nice. This also doesn't budge all day, no flaking, etc! I can only say good things about this mascara!

Next mascara I am going to include before and after pictures of my lashes for you

If you do not like this mascara, give it another chance! The first time I used it I was in a hurry to get to work and it didn't do much so I was like well this is depressing. Took my time with it the next day and my lashes looked amazing. It's a miracle; I was born with Asian lashes. If that's possible :P They are very short, thin, sparse, etc. This product worked for me!

Only thing I dislike? The abnormally long packaging. Just takes up too much extra room in my makeup storage. Such a small problem for a great product.

So yet again, I am impressed by another L'Oreal mascara. I know in the mascara category, this brand will not fail me! Super impressed by their mascaras.

Have you tried this msacara? What did you think?

Current Favorites: Randomness! {April 2013}

Hello girls :) I'm having a really laidback kind of day, so when I was thinking of what to blog about today, I thought it would be fun to share with you my current favorite nonbeauty related items! There have been quite a few apps I've been obsessed with, I've read some good books, ate some good food, so I'm just going to share it with you all right now! Hope you don't mind this post, just needed something different for today :) So let's get random, shall we?

APPS

Poshmark
Okay girls, brace yourself. I'm totally addicted to poshmark right now! Now the point of me sharing this app with you is not to promote my closet at all (I PROMISE!) I just wanted you to know how awesome it is! Basically it is an app that is only on the apple market currently, that allows you to share your unwanted clothes from your closet with others! You go ahead and list clothes you would like to get rid of. All you need to do is snap a few pictures, list it in a special category, include the size and a description, and include a price you are asking for the items! It is such a fun way to sell and buy used items! I'm seriously addicted. I've already bought and traded things with other girls ha it is just such a fun experience :) I think you guys should get this app if you have items in your closet that you want to get rid of! Poshmark keeps 20% of your earnings, and that's it! You do not have monthly fees like on ebay or anything like that. If you want to learn more about it, go ahead and check out the app, or feel free to ask me questions! It is such a great experience and opportunity :)
TIP: Go ahead and have someone invite you, and then go ahead and invite your friends! You each in turn get $5 for doing this. You can do this up to 10 times. Also if you have a closet feel free to let me know your name down below, I'd love to check it out! :)

Instagram
I am forever addicted to instagram! I will seriously look through instagram any chance I get when I am bored. I love looking at so many different types of pictures! I post a ton of makeup pictures (go figure) but go ahead and follow me if you'd wish! @thatfitbeauty. Also, PLEASE leave your instagram names down below or follow me and let me know you read my blog so I can follow you back! I'd love to see your pictures :) Add to my addiction girlies :)

Ruzzle
Okay, this game is seriously too fun! I love going on and playing this word game with my boyfriend and all my friends! I get really competitive and I don't feel like I'm wasting my time by playing it because it does challenge my mind :) I think you guys should check this one out!

BOOKS

The Carrie Diaries - Just finished this book and I really enjoyed it. It is just an easy feel good read for teens. I do, however, prefer the show which I will NEVER say again in my life. Still worth reading though if you love the show!

FOOD

ANY CEREAL - Seriously cereal is one of my favorite foods. I love milk so I love combining it with yummy goodness. I don't just eat this for breakfast, I eat this whenever I want to. Not the healthiest option but that's okay. Current favorites are: Honey Nut Medley Crunch (think that's the name!), Fruit Loops, and Cookie Crisp :)

CANDLE

Better Homes and Gardens Candles - You can get these from walmart. They cost $4 for the normal size, and $5 for a little bit bigger one. I cannot tell you how good these candles smell. And they really will make a whole room and then some smell really good! I am very impressed with the quality of these, especially for the price :) I'm currently burning Iced Raspberry Sangria, so yummy! Smells like spring and summer to me, which is what I need since it is still pretty chilly most of the time where I live!

So I think those are all my current random favorites right now! Please share yours with me in a comment so I can become addicted to more things :) Thanks for reading girls! Hope you enjoyed this post. Feel free to leave your thoughts below!

What's in my Makeup Cup: April 5th!

Okay girls, so I do not know exactly what to call this post yet! I've been pulling aside makeup recently that I want to make myself use for a week or two week time period, and I thought hey why not share the products I chose with everyone! I like to do this because I have a ton of makeup products that rarely get love like certain eyeshadow palettes, so by doing this, I use products more often! So let's go ahead and see what I've pulled aside this time :)

So let's first start off with my cute little holder! I got this at walmart in the candle section for under $5. This is suppose to be a candle holder, but I knew going into it I would never use it for candles because none of mine would ever fit in here. This was just too cute for me to leave in the store! So I bought it not knowing what I'd use it for, and I'm happy to say I am storing makeup I want to use in it!

Now let me tell you what products I picked!

Maybelline Pure Stay Powder Foundation - I really need to use this up. The packaging is bulky and just takes up too much space and I'm no longer crazy about this powder. Just want to use it up.
Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette - I love this stuff, and I'm getting good use out of all of the four parts of this palette. I am going to keep this in here until it is gone so I can move on to other concealers though because I have sooo many.
Neutrogena 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes - This also will not leave this cup until it's gone. I use this on top of a concealer in the SK palette, and that is the only time I like it. Just want to get this used up.
Pixi Flawless & Poreless - I probably have mentioned I love this stuff. However, I am usually too lazy to use a primer because it is just an extra step that doesn't do much for me honestly. I like this stuff, but I feel just using my lotion alone is a great base for my face makeup. I use St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer. It is something like that ha can't remember the exact name. The primer is really nice, it just doesn't make a huge difference so I don't grab it often. I'm going to make myself use it now.
ELF Quad in Drama - This little palette is seriously amazing. I have an on and off love relationship with this product. Once I finally start using it, I don't want to put it down. But once I put it away, I forget about it. I use this a lot and it is easily my favorite palette to reach for when I want to use gray shadow.
L'Oreal Colour Riche Rose for Romance - I'm not crazy about L'Oreal shadows, so I don't reach for this enough. I really want to focus on using the darker shades in this palette because they are honestly beautiful. They can be used with many looks.
Wet n Wild Color Icon White Eyeliner - I use to use this so often, until I discovered the Rimmel nude eyeliner. I like using this when I wear gray shadows because it looks nice in conjunction with that color combo. This isn't a bad eyeliner, especially for the price, I just don't think it looks AS natural as a nude liner.
L'Oreal Mascara with a really long name - Just wanting to use this up. I use to love it, but I realized the only time I like this is when I layer it with any other mascara. I like to call this a "primer" now because it does look really good when you top it off with things. This is the plain black tube with the gold wording.
Benefit They're Real - I just expected so much more from this mascara. I reach for my drugstore mascaras over this so I've been combining this with the L'Oreal mascara just in attempt to use them both up. I do like it, just isn't my favorite.

So those are the products I'm basically making myself use in the weeks to come. I will try to update you in two weeks, however it may be a week if I get bored of these products. Let me know if you like these posts down below! Do you guys ever pull aside makeup to use for a period of time?

Top Nail Polish Picks for Spring 2013!

I don't know about you guys, but I love when spring rolls around so I can finally pull out all my spring nail polishes and wear them all the time. The colors of spring just make me very happy and instantly put me in a good mood, so putting pretty colors on my nails brightens my mood :)

I'm a huge fan of mints, any shade of blues, pinks, and more. I am currently on the hunt for the perfect lavender and creamsicle colors to add to my collection, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know! Otherwise I'm going to go ahead and link my short video for you guys to watch if you are interested in seeing my favorites for spring time!

Spring is the time where I am very daring with my nail polish, so I tend to do more "nail art" around spring time :) If you guys would like to see some of my creations, let me know! Otherwise I always post them on instagram so be sure to check there if you'd like :) I'm thatfitbeauty on instagram! Follow me so I can follow you girls back!

I have lots more blog posts coming your way soon :) Hope you guys are having a wonderful week!
